Thanks Mar, My camera is a Canon PowerShot A610. The reason I selected that one since I couldn't afford a professional camera was it is one of the few affordable digital cameras which gives you the option of adding lenses later. I can get a converter and then add a more powerful zoom and a wide angle lens. It is particularly good for macro shots which I knew I liked to do. Take care, Carver
The two different colored pistols almost look like starfish, too, with long, skinny arms. So, it could be Starfish Dancers! : ) Wonderful shot, Carver.
Thanks so much for your comments. To answer a questions, I don't use a tripod but I get very close. I can only get the good macros when I have the camera right up to what I'm photographing. I usually set it at macro and fine (settings on my camera), I don't use any zoom which is how I can get so close without distortion. I'm not able to get the detail when I use zoom because that doesn't work as well with the macro and fine setting and when I'm that close if I use zoom to get even closer it distorts. Sometimes I practically touch what I'm photographing for the detail or I get a bigger part and crop out more. I'm also shooting it very large so if I crop out to blow up it keeps the quality.
Thank you so much for your comments. I read and appreciate any and all comments. If I delete a comment it is only because I'm trying to deal with a lot of spam. If I delete a comment which isn't spam, it's an accident so please accept my apology.
NOTE - I have recently had issues where some comments don't show up in my blog but I am receiving all of them through email. The blooger hiccup seems to be fixed but I'm going to leave this note up so I don't jinx it.
Whoa, fantastic macro, it's as if someone shrunk me and placed me inside. The water droplets are amazing... you are very talented. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gift you have. This is absolutely beautiful. I agree with michele. How great it would be to shrink inside of this flower! KC
ReplyDeleteAmazing shot. I could actually see the dancer!
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, K.C., and Horsoon, Thanks for your kind comments.
