I'm keeping the post wordless but I thought I'd mention here that the squirrel was clinging to the screen on my window and scared me to death. After I got over the fright I snapped a bunch of photos.
Hi Carver, I'm glad you gave us the explanation. I wondered what the mesh was that I saw in your photo - I thought at first that it might be something you put over your lens. Cool!
