If anyone wants to see a full color shot of Crossroads/Trickster by Martha Jarvis, I have one in my picsa album here. This work marks the crossroad of trails at the NC Museum Park and I chopped it in half for this shot to show details of the structure. It sort of looks like a giant ear of corn to me from a distance.

For anyone who is interested, below is the full sculpture in the NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill. I thought it worked better cropped and played with for WW, since background construction and the fence didn't add to the shot. Note - I am editing this post because I went back to the garden and found out that the name of this piece is Inorganic Evolution Companion and the artist is Joe Kenlan from Pittsboro, NC This concludes my not entirely wordless, Wordless Tuesday and Wednesday post. I took this shot in my garden in November of 2001. Very unusual for us to have snow that early so I snapped a bunch of shots. Monochrome Monday is hosted by Aileni at Loose Ends.
