I took this shot in my garden in November of 2001. Very unusual for us to have snow that early so I snapped a bunch of shots. Monochrome Monday is hosted by Aileni at Loose Ends.
The photo is very beautiful and I am surprised to see Roses in bloom so late. That wouldn't happen at my location, tho we may have snow then. Thank you for your visit to mine. ann

NOTE - I have recently had issues where some comments don't show up in my blog but I am receiving all of them through email. The blooger hiccup seems to be fixed but I'm going to leave this note up so I don't jinx it.
Quite an image with such a full bloom crusted like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in - I thinke we can have funwith this.
this is beautiful..
ReplyDeleteSnow on roses ... I think I have seen it all now. The B&W seems to have snap-frozen the fragility of the petala.
ReplyDeleteVery nice choice. The mono has frozen the image in time.
ReplyDeleteAh yes... this is wonderful... very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Very ambivalent with the full rose covered in snow. Great shot. I played too -
ReplyDeleteOdd shot and Monochrome are here

ReplyDeleteThis is a good photo - usually the rose blossom has long gone by the time the snow arrives ..
