Monochrome Monday: Roses in the Snow


I took this shot in my garden in November of 2001. Very unusual for us to have snow that early so I snapped a bunch of shots. Monochrome Monday is hosted by Aileni at Loose Ends.

    Snow on roses ... I think I have seen it all now. The B&W seems to have snap-frozen the fragility of the petala.

    This is beautiful! Very ambivalent with the full rose covered in snow. Great shot. I played too -

    The photo is very beautiful and I am surprised to see Roses in bloom so late. That wouldn't happen at my location, tho we may have snow then. Thank you for your visit to mine.

    This is a good photo - usually the rose blossom has long gone by the time the snow arrives ..

    Wow, I don't think I have ever seen snow on roses. This is a beautfiful photo and I love the black and white image.
