  1. What a strange bird!
    It's a perfect subject for . . .Thanksgiving ; )
Beware, she's looking at you with a weird eye, now.

  2. I bow to you! I have tried to get shots of these creatures in the wild and have never been able to pull it off. They're elusive little buggers. I came close once in the mountains, but they got away anyhow.

Congratulations on a great capture of a rare quarry!

  5. Hi Carver,
    Great capture!
I haven't seen any around my property for a few weeks now - maybe they're hiding.

  6. Despite the 'noisy' background, the turkey stands out due to the 'just nice' lighting! Whoa, good shot, Carver!

  7. 'Tis the season. Turkeys seem to be everywhere, ... although come to think of it they may not be out west. We have them down here in south Florida, wild ones, but not many.

  8. The bird looks a little concerned because you caught it crossing a path. Good one.

  12. Wild turkeys are so funny looking .. do you know the cartoonist Al Capp had a 'character' called a Schmoo ... and they were patterned after wild turkeys.
