I took this shot on Monday and I was struck by the beauty of an almost dead tree surrounded by a sea of green leaves from other trees. I focused on the top where the bare tree is against the sky so it almost looks like a winter shot but it was actually shot on June 1.

Lovely. There's something magical for me about bare branches reaching for the sky.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the bare branches of trees against the sky. Always makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteI hope the key word is 'almost'. Maybe it can find its way back!
ReplyDeleteYou fooled me - I thought it was a winter shot. Well done.

Nice contrasts !=)
ReplyDeleteHi Carver we normally only see the tree structure in winter. As you mentioned its lovely to see it against the clothed trees and those wonderful marching clouds.
ReplyDeleteI love how the clouds line up behind it in the background too. Sort of an order amid chaos... thing.
ReplyDeleteLove the way this shot turned out! Wonderful with the contrast of life and death and the great blue! Awesome!

It's a wonderful photo, and there's a lot of beauty in those trees that no longer have leaves, as you've shown in this delightful image. Thanks for sharing it and have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteLove the cloud formation, looks like object free falling from the sky.
ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot about old trees - there was one in my grandma's yard - grand, black and never had leaves - your picture brought memories. Beautiful picture!
