My world (North Carolina Piedmont) is very hot and muggy at the moment. However, I was reminded during a walk yesterday morning, that it is much cooler on the woodland trails. It was very pleasant although outside of the woods it would have already been to hot to walk.

The water in the creek was very stagnant and murky but the leaves and reflection made for a photograph I liked.

It looks lovely. As a native Californian I have a problem with muggy. I know many people in the east can't tolerate our dry heat.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness... I could practically feel the heat. That looks like a refreshing and relaxing walk.
ReplyDeleteCare to share some of the heat with me, it's pretty cold here right now :)

Lovely shots. It's been really overcast and cloudy here thought it gets warm later. I'm glad we don't have to deal with muggy but I do look for shade. :-)

I visit family in the south every year and I love the lush green, but not so much the humidity. Beautiful photos of your woodland world.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, lovely place! Great shots! I don't deal well with muggy, but a stroll along that road would be delightful anyway!

That is probably the best way to avoid the heat. I could just lie there and woke-up when the sun is down lol.
ReplyDeleteThat green still looks very fresh and pre-summer. The bottom photo is like an Impressionist painting - really great photos.
ReplyDeleteMost people do not realize what great air-conditioners leaves are, all that transpiration! Nice woods you have to walk in.
ReplyDeleteCarver,

Glad you found a place to cool off. And surounded by such intense greens. The reflection shot is great, as are the others. Really like the dragonfly.
