Skywatch Friday: Heading into the Blue Ridge Mountains

Photobucket

Last week I showed you the sun setting behind the mountains. This week I thought I'd show you the Blue Ridge mountains I shot, shortly before sunset while my daughter drove.

I found it interesting how the clouds looked so blue after we got closer to the mountains. It's almost hard to tell where the mountain ends and the cloud begins.

  5. Oh, I agree with Photo Cache as far as riding shotgun! I did a lot of that last week when my kids were here! These are magnificent shots, Carver, as always. So much beauty, so little time -- to see/catch it all!

    Have a great weekend!

  23. These are gorgeous. I think my favorite mountain pictures are when you can see the layers like this. I have wanted to duplicate such scenes in paper, but have never sat down to do it.
