That's My World Tuesday: Another spring post

Spring continues to be the big news around my part of the world with daily changes.
Photobucket
It's been a wet March, so far, but there have been a few days where I could walk at the lake near my house (Shelley Lake).
Photobucket
I always enjoy seeing and hearing the changes of each new season.
Photobucket
The animals get rowdier as they move into mating season and call out to warn some away from their nests or to attract mates.
Photobucket
The Canada Geese are at Shelley Lake year round but they are more abundant at different sides of the lake depending on the season, and spend more time in the water as it warms.
Photobucket
They are also much nosier in the spring time and I can hear them before I see them.
Photobucket
Back at my house the American Robin are out and about much more.
Photobucket
The robin are a sure fire sign of spring as they begin to forage and nest, as well as take a bath on my deck.
Photobucket
The male cardinals keep up a steady call for mates from the trees. They also warn off intruders from their nests, or that's what it seems like. The female cardinals will head for the bushes where they have nests, when they see me, but the males will be in the tree above the bushes and shout at me.
Photobucket
The cardinals also enjoy a bath on my deck and this one would look over to where I was shooting from my french door, and then turn his back on me.
Photobucket
The flowers are starting to pop up and bloom adding color and scent to my world.
Photobucket
The tulip tree buds are beginning to get fuller and show a hint of the pink color they will have when they bloom.
Photobucket
From some places at my house it is a mass of buds and color when I look up.
Photobucket
Other places there is a hint of growth on the trees but many of the trees are still bare.

  24. What WONDERFUL signs of Spring in your part of the world. I've never heard of a 'tulip tree' but I enjoyed all of your photos ... especially the Canadian Geese and the colorful birds. Sorry to be visiting so late ... but I'm doing what I can to catch up today after being overly busy last week.
