The Weekend in Black and White: a flock hides within


I need to cut away last years dead growth in my ornamental grasses to make way for the new, but every time I get close to it a bunch of birds start flying out or scream at me from within.

    It is giving them protection from the cold and preditors. Soon the weather will warm and trees will leaf out giving them more options.

    Ha, I just did the same thing and it'd a job I despise. Maybe I should take my camera next time and I won't despise it as much :-)

    oh but if you did, not only would the birds have no place to nest, but you wouldn't have had this amazing textural photo to capture!
