I'm on a roll with my morning walks having gone from none to six days in a row.
I'm surprised that I haven't been rained on yet as about half of the mornings I've walked it has looked like rain, and a few days I just missed a little sprinkle.
One morning I even left my camera at home because I thought it unlikely that I'd be able to use it.
I wouldn't mind walking in a summer rain if my camera didn't get wet. As much as we need rain, I'm happy with any we get.
I take a small backpack when I have my camera on iffy walks, in terms of the weather.
Even with the option of putting my camera away, I leave it at home when I think the probability of rain is very high.
In some ways it's good not to always have my camera because I get more exercise when I'm not stopping frequently for photographs.
On the other hand, I can walk farther if I am taking a photo walk with frequent stops and starts.

Looks like picking a path is easy as there are so many environmentally friendly places to walk in your world. Taking a camera leads to taking pictures and sometimes missing the actual walking experience. Yet often when I don’t take the camera, I wish that I had because something irresistible catches my eye. :)
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are wonderful and I also love the sweet reflections on the water!
ReplyDeleteThe sky is adorable in special blue!

Oh that is really good, a morning walk. I hope I can do that, but with my work schedule it's not possible. I always have a little point and shoot with me that can easily fit in the pocket of my jeans when I'm out.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth of July.
(BTW, last I looked there isn't a list of weekly theme up for PH)
It is better to be always equipped.
ReplyDeleteLovely captures.
Beautiful shots. The lake is picturesque.
ReplyDeleteMornings are a good time for walking, especially in the summer when you have a black dog. She is used to being tied to something while I play with the camera. But you are right, the camera is a good incentive to walk further...
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely places you have to walk and I love your captures as always, Carver! Beautiful reflections and it all looks so peaceful! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Wonderful sky and water photos, Carver - you have a lovely place to walk.
ReplyDeleteWell, when you DO take your camera I'm glad you share your photos with us. You have a lovely place for walking.
ReplyDeletelovely shots
ReplyDeleteYou go, girl. I am impressed. I get nowhere when I have my camera and I drive my family nuts if we are out hiking. My husband and I are picture taking nuts, but the others are more reserved. These shots are all lovely. What a gorgeous spot to walk with all of that cool water surrounding you. Hope you are not “bugged by bugs. At the moment, we are really suffering with them. Genie

I like the landscape and the surrounding where you are walking and photographing, Carver. These are all lovely shots, it all seems so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend.
Wow, I wouldn't miss a day of walks with views like that! Terrific captures.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. Happy sky watching.

Lovely, lovely views! I am glad you get out and get your walks.
ReplyDeleteNo such luck here the last two days. Dust and more dust. Today it maybe would be ok at the ocean side, but nah, thanks :/
I miss real nature.... :)
Its six off one and half a dozen of the other. Although my camera is often too heavy for me to carry at times, I always lug it along and just tuck it under whatever I am wearing when it rains.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot and walk.
Like you, I am rarely far from a camera these days. Very nice images.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely colours - so restful.
ReplyDeleteLovely,lovely...all of them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images from a wonderful place. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely lake, so peaceful looking. Good for you on the exercise - it's so hard to be consistent, and even harder to powerwalk when you have a photographer's eye.
ReplyDeleteI would go for 6 walks a week if I had lovely places to walk like you do! Thanks for sharing.
