SkyWatch Friday: Mix from April and May

Looking back at my photos from April, I was struck by the clouds against blue sky.

The first three shots are all from April, 2011.

I always enjoy photographing the water tower near the office buildings in downtown Durham.

The rest of the shots were taken in May. I left my camera in the hotel when we went out to eat one rainy night in the mountains. Of course I looked out the window and saw a rainbow and realized I didn't have my camera but I did have my cell phone with it's inferior camera. Lousy shot but a beautiful rainbow.

I love the wispy clouds that look like a veil to me.

The next shot is a sunset from my bedroom window.

Last but not least a hawk in a pine tree.

  11. The rainbow is wonderful, as ever, even with the phone rather than a camera, but my favourite shot is the sunset! I love the tranquil colours!

  12. The rainbow in a purple-hued sky really captures my imagination. Lucky that you had the cell phone to record the moment. Technology can be a handy tool when it works as it should. Also, had recent issues with leaving comments. A glitch that will resolve itself, I'm sure. :)
