That's My World Tuesday: Bathing Beauties

It is too hot for me to spend much time on my deck but I've been enjoying the bathing beauties from inside my bedroom door.

The male cardinal was diving in and out of the bath and in the shot above and below was taking a break on the pool's ledge.

The female cardinal below was splashing up a storm.

I know the titmouse below was drying off because his crown was flat from the water.

The American Robin looks like she wants to say something to me.

Sometimes the house finch take a bath together.

Other times they stake out separate baths.

The mourning dove below jumped out of the bath for a head shot.

The brown thrasher enjoys sitting in the water for long periods of time.

I shot the brown thrasher above and below on different days so probably not the same one.

  1. What a lovely way to observe the birds in your world, Carver. I really do think the fluffy American Robin has something to say about all the wonders on the outside of your pretty glass door!

  2. How wonderful. I have a bird bath in the backyard, but I only see the neighborhood cats drinking from it.

  17. You are the best example of how we can help wildlife.. a simple dish or two and you are saving their lives in hot weather and your yard with all the natural food. I am working toward that goal...you are an inspiration in that way...Michelle
