SkyWatch Friday: Canvas


I like the way sky is sometimes mostly a canvas providing the negative spaces to an intricate pattern of leaves.

With the smaller leaves against a blank sky it almost looks like a pin and ink drawing in certain parts of the photograph.

Sometimes the light thrown down on a path gives clues to what kind of sky is above even when it's obscured by trees.

    skywatching through the trees/leaves gives one a different perspective, and most of the time a very interesting one.

    That third shot makes me think of Buddy walking through the woods these days. From the many hikes we have taken together, this view is so familiar. I, too, love how the light seeps through, and how the leaves can appear to be pen and ink drawings. Lovely shots, Carver. Genie
