What interested me about the subject was the contrast in soil types.
I couldn't decide which shot was a better indicator of that.
In some ways the color version with red clay, black loam, white sand, and rocks really showed it off better but I like it in black and white for some reason. I may use the color shots for another post but I'm sticking with black and white for this post for obvious reasons.
Click for the home of the weekend in black and white.
I prefer the middle one. It seems to tell more of the story without getting too far out.
ReplyDeleteYes I also prefere the middle one :) But I think it is very interesting to se the three different pictures :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and Lovely !! Middle one is different !!
ReplyDeleteI like it too. Can´t choose any as better then the other. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've captured it perfectly. Every pic can show it :)
ReplyDeleteYou've caught the different soils well. I agree with the others - the middle one is just right.
ReplyDeleteVery nice set! Love the middle one too;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing;o)

Happy day****
Terrific images, I like the first one best. I like close up shots.
ReplyDeleteI think you definitely made the right choice, showing these shots in B&W. They're clear, dramatic and compelling. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteYour choice for black and white is excellent.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the middle one is the best.
Regards!
Different textures there.
ReplyDeleteThe layering in the ground showed up very nicely as a contrast to the vertical trees.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the second one and I like that you to show three different versions of it.
ReplyDeleteI hope this isn't a repeat post -- I'm having slow connection pblms.
ReplyDeleteI can really see the difference in soils in the B&W, but I'd also love to see the same pix in color. I'd like to have a place to post comparison pictures (SoC next to played with"). The contrast is often so interesting.
We loved the red soil in the South when we stayed there a couple of winters.
You capture the richness of the earth, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI like the top best but I think this was one for colour.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a favourite place in Wales.
Interesting pictures...
ReplyDeleteI also like most the middle one :)
