SkyWatch Friday: Blue in between storms

I thought I'd start with cotton candy clouds at a shopping center.

We've had some big swings in the sky from Hurricane Irene to blue to wild thunderstorms and back to blue.

I thought I'd compare two lakes I've walked at this week. Above is the view from the Shelley Lake Dam and below is the view from the Lake Lynn Dam.

The next shot is walking across the Shelley Dam.

And for comparison, walking across the Lake Lynn Dam.

Next walking on the long Lake Lynn boardwalk/bridge.

And walking on the Shelley Lake bridge.

The rest of the shots were taken at Shelley Lake.

All these blue skies are misleading because we've certainly had a lot of stormy days.

They haven't been the kinds of storms that are great for photographing the sky.

That's why I'm focusing on the blue sky days or parts of days where I've been out with my camera.
