The Weekend in Black and White: Pecan Season


I keep thinking one year I'll gather the pecans before the squirrels get them but at best I get a fraction of what the animals get. It's funny how the squirrels sit on my deck table, swing and chairs eating pecans with very little concern about me. This one knew I was taking his picture but he wasn't about to let go of the pecan.

  6. I'd love to see such animals here... They don't come so often though.
    The squirrel's obstinacy with the pecan brought to mind Ice Age's "scrat". :)

    I remember when we spent a winter in Texas and the pecans were all over in the parks.
