The Weekend in Black and White: Shadow Play


This is one of those shots that didn't work well at all in color because the lighting wasn't great for full color. However, I thought it was effective in black and white. I was standing on a bridge looking down at the water but the shadow makes the water look like ground, at least to me.

  9. The black and white is great, but I also love the way the picture makes me feel as if I'm standing there looking down.

  14. I can see that color would detract from the story, which is the lines, the shadow, the textures. And yes, I also see ground, not water.
