Our World Tuesday: Sunday morning walk

The trees are very slowly changing to their fall clothes although many are still in summer frocks.

While I was walking on Sunday I kept looking for the fall/autumn colors.

Sometimes when I looked up I would see the top leaves changing.

I like the mix of colors when it almost looks like paint is thrown up to catch a few leaves.

There were still plenty of wildflowers on the trial I was walking on.

I don't know if they were catching anything but there were quite a few people fishing on the boat house dock at Shelley Lake.

The Canada Geese were grazing in the dried flowers.

I think the leaves that dropped into the lake made a colorful spot for the duck that was swimming.

I love this time of year when it's cool enough to walk without getting hot but not so cold that I have to bundle up.

It's noticeable how few water birds are out compared to when it was still summer.

I was surprised that there weren't more people walking at the lake because it was a perfect day for me.

Some people were probably waiting to walk in the afternoon when it was warmer.

There are more and more trees that are fully changed into fall attire.

There are a lot of evergreens at the lake that will stay green but there are many more trees that have yet to change colors.

Can you tell I'm a little obsessive about the fall changes.

Fall is definitely my favorite season. I like it even better than spring.
