I did a double take when I saw the sign for Dental Arts. All I could think of was Steve Martin as the dentist in Little Shop of Horrors. I don't want someone creating art in my mouth.
The first mushroom below is dinner plate size.
There are mushrooms, toadstools, and all types of fungus popping up in my yard.
I love the way they look and have been photographing them a great deal.
Although green is still the dominant color in my part of the world, I'm starting to see more and more changes.
The Virginia Creeper is beginning to change to its autumn color.
There are so many busy birds in my yard that every time I step out I see a wide variety of them.
Peter Cottontail posed for me or rather froze until I went away. Most of my grasses still have plumes which I enjoy.
The weather is perfect for walking so I have been getting out more.
I love chilly days after all the heat we had in the summer.
The shots at the lake are from two different walks.
It is amazing to me how fast the weather changes back and forth where I live.
We had a 40 degree drop between a daytime high and a nighttime low.
It amazes me how blue the water looks in the kind of light I shot in below.
I am getting very eager for the full fall foliage with its mix of colors.
I love green too but the variety of colors in the fall always blows me away.
Below the single red leaf in the water caught my eye.

The mushrooms are cool, I especially like the dinner plate size. We are seeing lots of mushrooms due to all the extra rain we received. Love the birds and the bunny, great photos.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful a world you live in.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Tuesday.
Wonderful Fall shots --- this post really puts me in an Autumn mood (I've been trying to hang on to summer!)....agree totally about the dentist sign -- yikes! No thank you.
ReplyDeleteHUGE mushroom! I'm glad the weather has improved for you. Yeah, I don't think I need any dentists making art in my mouth either. :))
ReplyDeleteLove your kind of photos! My favorites are the toad stools and duck. Of course the landscapes are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteBtw, the rabbit needs more food. :)
Wonderful shots. The variety is amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove the last shot with the single red leaf although all the muted gold reflections caught my eye even more. Be patient, all too soon the trees will be bare, enjoy what you have now. Do you eat your mushrooms???
