X is the Roman Numeral 10 and can be seen on clocks.
On Roman Numeral Clocks you see X for ten and IX for nine.
You also see XI for eleven and XII for twelve. Granted none of the times on the clocks I'm showing you include X but since X is on the clock face 4 times I figured it would work for X day.

That was a clever way to get in what, I'm sure, must have been a very difficult challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I remember about the antique clock we had on the mantlepiece (when I was a child) was that the four was written IIII. So in school when I was taught it was IV I was surprised.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Good choice Carver. I never even thought of that X.
ReplyDeleteYour first comment was interesting about having a clock that said 4 as IIII. That's a first for me.
A TIMELY post! You'll see the neXt badge incorporates X as 10!

ReplyDeleteI am not good in Roman numerals, up to X is my maximum.
ReplyDeleteXcellent choice! You get X upon X for that!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking clocks.
ReplyDeleteNow that is something I didn't even think of, and yet I look at clocks with Roman Numerals...where was my brain??? Good choice, and some lovely clocks.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful clocks, and very accommodating that they are Roman numerals and not digital...
ReplyDeleteGreat clocks and good way of covering X.
ReplyDeleteAwesome captures.
ReplyDeleteX-mas or Christmas, which one do you approve of? May you have a prosperous new year!
