This is the second week in a row that I've featured ice I've dumped out of my deck bird bath but it's fun for me to photograph it, especially at this stage. During colder winter weather it comes out in big blocks and requires a lot of thawing to get it out, but these early winter thin sheets have a lot more variation.

Once again -- obviously I'm not a cold weather fan but just love your ice pictures. You make it look magical!

ReplyDeleteIce is fascinating with all the changing patterns.
ReplyDeleteWow, great ice shot:)
ReplyDeleteI love the patterns in this ice. Somehow it resembles the big markings on the dessert in Peru. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's cool, I love the patterns!
ReplyDeleteTime to start digging out my ice photos, but hoping we don't get too much here.
ReplyDeleteI love abstracts and this is superb! Now here's what's funny...I'm just ahead of your picture and mine is also an abstract, but quite different from yours.
ReplyDeleteHappy B&W, Carver

You are getting to be a real pro at ice photography. This one is fabulous. Loved looking at all the little lines going every which way. Such a fascinating shot. Keep up the experimentation and good work. I really like it. Great job. genie
