Big boisterous bunnies bound across my yard in the summer.Bunnies like weeds better than cultivated plants in my experience.
Bashful bunny freezes when scary human points her black camera at him.
It is funny how sometimes bunnies in my garden will almost seem to avoid the flowers.
I was serious about them preferring weeds. Even when I grew carrots and lettuce, the bunnies would munch down on weeds and ignore the vegetables.

How wonderful - as long as they don't eat your veggies or flowers!
ReplyDeleteI always think of Watership Down...
Yes, Watership Down for me too.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have the critters do your weeding for you..(:0)
We've been in this house for more than 10 years, but we still love to see the local bunnies. For years, we pretended there was only one, which we named "Bun" but, of course, there are several of them.
ReplyDeleteAlways guaranteed to be great subjects for photos, though, aren't they?

I love the light on their ears by the vegetation. Always a treat to see them sitting in the sunshine.

They really are so cute, but here in my village, we have such an abundance of them we have to have them relocated to a forested area. Near the hospital area, they've counted 400-500 of them!

Nice to have your own private weed patrollers that reside locally!
ReplyDeleteI love your bunnies! I see them in my yard sometimes but they never stay around long enough to photograph. Yours are cooperative and I'm glad they like your weeds better than the blossoms.
ReplyDeleteThey are really cute, you are lucky they do not eat the flowers. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteLove these bunny photos … they are so adorable. But I do feel sorry for the one in the first photo as he looks a little thin. I bet he’s fast, though!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good bunny he is avoiding your plants hehehe. Same with our pet bunny here, we put himn once at my vegetable garden as I have lots of lettuce but he never did touched it, he ate the grass!

ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't want a bunny in their garden if they just ate weeds! I love these little guys and your pictures are just great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute bunny, Carver!
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures of bunnies, and either they are different type than we have here or just a lot thinner. I love the one with the little whit chin.

I have always love bunnies. All the Beatrice Potter books of Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, etc, etc. Also a very favorite is the "Velveteen Rabbit"...
ReplyDeleteYour "real" rabbit so reminds me of the story of the Velveteen Rabbit becoming real after being so so well.
Thanks for delightful pictures.
Hi Carver, oooh I love your bunnies. And it is interesting that they prefer weeds over your other more appealing plants. Great choice for B and a wonderful bunny photo collection.
ReplyDeleteWonderful & lovable creatures. Such timid and curious eyes. Great Takes
ReplyDeleteCute little things, aren't they! Amazing that they don't care for flowers as much as weeds. That's good.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing sweeter than a little bunny hopping around the garden! Thanks for stopping by at my B post.
