ABC Wednesday: H is for Horse

The first shot is over 30 years old and is one I took of a friend kissing her horse. I scanned the photo so the quality isn't great.

The next three shots of horses were taken in Williamsburg, VA in October of 2009.

The horses in the pasture get to take it easy while other horses are used for people hiring them to go on carriage rides.

They have some beautiful horses at colonial Williamsburg.

The shot of the horses on the boardwalk below was taken in March of 2010. Horses aren't allowed at Lake Lynn where I shot them but since policeman were on these horses, I guess that's the exception.

The last shot of horses was taken in Blowing Rock NC in October of 2011.

    All these photos are lovely but I especially like the idyllic scene of horses with their heads bent munching grass in the pasture. The animals all appear perfectly groomed and it is always such a delight to see animals well cared for.

    Beautiful horses and beautiful scenes.
    I went to Williamsburg many years ago and loved the authentic atmosphere.

    A nice collection of horses. I really like the "kiss" one a lot. I agree with Roger that even old and scanned, it's got a lot of charm.
