SkyWatch Friday: So much to look at this time of the year

This week I'll start with two shots I took at sunrise.
skywatsrDSCN8294
Sunrise that day was the prettiest time because the sky turned gray and rainy later.
skywatsrDSCN8301
I find it startling when half the sky is blue and half is white like it was in the next shot.
skywatbDSCN8404
The next two shots are ones I took one day at the end of sunset.
skywatssDSCN8474
The dark band almost looks like a mountain range to me but it's just a cloud block.
skywatssDSCN8478b
I've had lots of clouds to look at over the past few months.
skywatcldDSCN8555
I could stare at the clouds for ages, sometimes even when they are only in my head.
skywatctDSCN8556
I like the different shades in the clouds in the next shot.
skywatcldtDSCN8561
The cotton ball type clouds like the ones below are favorites of mine.

The changes in the trees are making each day different even without the sky show that has been going on.
skywatclDSCN8645
I like the little tiny leaves like the ones in the next shot.
skywatfDSCN8650
It makes it easier to see the sky when the changes are just starting on some trees.
skywatfwvDSCN8658
I like the way the changes on different trees are at a different rate.
skywatfdcDSCN8668
The male cardinals are starting to get territorial and it's harder to catch a still one like the one in the tree below. They are chasing each other a lot.
skywcrDSCN8670
The next shot of the sun trying to break through has been a common site.
skywatftDSCN8706
The white dogwoods are finally beginning to get fuller flowers.
skywatfdDSCN8707
The next shot is one I took right before it started raining buckets of water.
skywatctrDSCN8733
The clouds with a break in the middle caught my eye.
skywatclDSCN8734
One good thing about all the rain is the pollen is getting knocked off daily and it isn't as bad as it would be otherwise.
skywatcftDSCN8756
Spring has definitely arrived in my sky.

  3. I like the softness in the photo with the pink blooms. The sky looks like it is considering rainfall but not brooding about it quite yet. I love watching clouds, too. Their transformations are a never-ending movie.

  5. What a range of sky shots, the first ones of sunrise I think the clouds look a little like marshmallows.

  8. I love the sky blue shots but just as equally so I like those two with the clouds. It just goes to show the skies are everchanging and beautiful in many ways.
The green leaves against the blue is a very happy shot knowing spring is here!
