ABC Wednesday: U is for Under

Under the road is a tunnel so walkers, cyclist and runners don't have to leave the trail to continue on with the next trail.

The pipes below are going under ground.

The reflections give an upside down view.

Standing under a different road at another part of the trail, and looking through to the creek, gives an unusual perspective.

The next shot is in part of the underneath area shown above, and I'm using a shot that doesn't show all the UGLY words.

Next is another shot of the same area shown in the two shots above which show there are two separate underneath areas.

Under the bridge at the point below is another part of the paved trail.

Standing under the bridge in the same area I looked up for the next shot. Note- I went to my photo archives which is why most of the trees are bare. If I was shooting in the same spot now it would be a lot greener.

  2. For every over there is an under. :) I like these shots of tunnels and things that are rarely noticed along our walks. The first photo with the arch frames the forest ahead beautifully!

  3. Terrific images! Under is such a "deep" word! And you took the best pictures to show what under means.
Yes Uriah Heep from David Copperfield by Dickens is also well known, but as I have still a lot to show and to write about Israel, i stick to the Bible, Israel and about what Dina told me, till September/October.

  14. Carver this is excellent, and would be perfect for another meme I do, called Creative Tuesday..we are given a word, and have to come up with a drawing, sketch or painting...the word this week was underground.

  17. I especially loved the second shot with the beautiful reflections and the 5th, showing the ceiling patterns of the tunnel and adding light on the walls progressively until we come out the other side.

  21. came via Roger's blog re Unions. I am rejoicing.

Today, in New Zealand the union won, govt zero, they were going to cut teachers, cut technical classes, up class sizes, Union got all the teachers, and parents to protest. The minister withdrew. Ya!!!!
