good morning Carver~ very nice pics for white water... the beach looked so inviting. wish i lived closer so i could walk beach side. hope all is well your way...
I laughed at your line for the photo of two people sitting awfully close to the waves. Amazing how many different shades of white there are in the world. I particularly liked your last photo where a piece of cloth bends in the wind to look like a crescent moon.
White works for me! Great choice for ABC Wednesday. My post is up but I won't be home to link it until almost evening. Glad I could look at yours and comment before I left for the day. Have a great rest of the week.
A wonderful collection of W's - before the recession in the U.S. one of our sons used to make Water Slides for a company called "White Water" - Great Fun.
Thanks to everyone for visiting. To answer the question, I live 2 1/2 hours drive from the closest beach to me. These shots were taken at the beach I usually go to and am going to soon, Atlantic Beach, NC and that's a 3 hour drive from my house.
Wow, you even caught a Wind surfer! (That looks Wicked fun, I really Want to try it sometime). I love the fountain photo - I've found that photographing moving Water Well is harder than it seems. And I really love the seagull getting his toes Wet in the surf! Those beach scenes look so inviting - especially in the heat that's coming (predicted to be 98º here on Sunday, and I know you're in for some record temps back east!)
I live in Michigan, and am surrounded by lakes. I almost used water today for my ABC Wednesday, but I didn't have time to take pictures of the 5 lakes in my vicinity! Of course, nothing beats the beach!
Thank you so much for your comments. I read and appreciate any and all comments. If I delete a comment it is only because I'm trying to deal with a lot of spam. If I delete a comment which isn't spam, it's an accident so please accept my apology.
NOTE - I have recently had issues where some comments don't show up in my blog but I am receiving all of them through email. The blooger hiccup seems to be fixed but I'm going to leave this note up so I don't jinx it.

I love white water -- lots of it -- but just to look at. Now what we need on the coast here is some warm temps while we stand and look at it.
ReplyDeleteThis is all so poetic
ReplyDeleteWhite caps are a joy to capture on camera. White is wonderful in so many ways.
