Our World Tuesday: Musical Baths

An American Robin was enjoying a leisurely bath.

After awhile a brown thrasher chased her out.

The American Robin wasn't too happy with the small bath, particularly since most of the water had been used and I was waiting for them to leave before refilling the baths.

She decided to go ahead and jump in and both birds had baths for a little while.

Next the American Robin went back to the larger bath and briefly got the Brown Thrasher out so they could discuss who got the large bath.

The Brown Thrasher won the debate.

  10. Great storyboard of photos. I was hoping they would start to scrub one another's backs with their beaks.

  16. This was a very enjoyable read, with high drama and wonderful photographs to bring the story alive. As Penelope noted, it takes someone "in tune" to catch these fascinating glimpses of how nature's laws work.
