ABC Wednesday: Z is for Zero

In the first shot there are zero gulls on the bridge.

For comparison there are many gulls on the bridge.

Certain times of the year there are zero cormorants on the piling.

Other times of the year there are always cormorants on the piling.

On the day I took the next shot there were zero clouds in the sky.

On another day there were many clouds in the sky.

In the next shot there was one great blue heron on the fish feeding station.

  2. I very much like your take on the word zero! This would be an understandable and fun way to teach a child about numbers. I had a different spin on the same word. :)
