The Weekend in Black and White: Shadows on the bridge

I was struck by the tree shadows on the bridge.

I couldn't decide which shot I preferred.

  1. There is something so mysterious about a forest photographed in black and white and the shadows that play such a key role in projecting the mood. Maybe this is why the old movies capture our imaginations even today. These photos are a nice contrast to the brilliant sunset sinking in the horizon out your bedroom window in your previous post. :)

  2. Shadows catch my eye too, tho I don't always post them. I like them both too.

  4. I'd pick the second one, but I couldn't tell you why. You always pick the best subjects for B&W -- things I wouldn't think would make good photos that way and yours always do!!
