I thought this particular storm had a lot of variations in the gray.
The next shot was a late afternoon when the clouds turned pink.
Next is a morning shot when the moon stuck around to play jumping in and out from behind clouds. I kept missing it but finally it stayed away from the clouds long enough for me to capture it.
Next are some sky shots I took on a morning walk.
It started off pretty dark but the sun finally got out from behind the clouds.
Earlier that same morning I had fun shooting mackerel clouds.
Too bad the mackerel clouds were gone by the time I walked as I would have loved catching their reflection in the water.
Even without having water to capture their reflections they were my favorite sky shots over the past 7 days.
This is a great time of the year for skywatching.
The light is changing and is heralding a new season.
So far the changes are subtle but soon they will accelerate.

Carver!

I miss the energy of a storm much. No rain since about Easter. Rarely a cloud or two. Impressive pictures.

Thanks for the link to the Paul Simon video. I had seen it but had forgotten it. I sang the song in high school choir and because we live near the river with lots of bridges it just comes to my mind a lot. :)
I love the changing skies -- they really say Autumn -- and I always love your morning walks. That pond and reflection is beautiful--
