ABC Wednesday: C is for Culvert

Part of a trail near my house as well as part of the road was undergoing construction until recently.

After they finished I realized they were putting in a new culvert which I photographed in the first shot. The second shot is of another culvert.

  2. When I was five, I was at a zoo and started following the culverts. My parents thought I was lost. *I* knew where I was!

  3. A sort of before... and after (albeit different culverts!).

Great "C" word (I have to admit I did not know what they were called). I love learning new words and never disappoint me!

    Have a great week.

  21. Great photos, Carver. I could almost smell the somewhat dank air near the culvers. My dad was an engineer, so I knew the difference between a culvert and a sluice (the huge piped version). But when one person mentioned "The C Word," I had to laugh about some of the pictures you MIGHT have taken. Yeah, I'm the wicked pastor's wife, what can I say? Peace, Amy
