Great photos, Carver. I could almost smell the somewhat dank air near the culvers. My dad was an engineer, so I knew the difference between a culvert and a sluice (the huge piped version). Great choice of word! We have lots of Culverts around here for both water flow and as wildlife pathways as in "Coyotes love clear culverts!"

Great pictures to look at, they are so realistic they generate that little bit of gut felt fear when I think about going into one...
