ABC Wednesday: Z is for Zing
If you like your food to have zing, add zesty spices. I mixed spices that were photogenic for the shot below, so I used them on zero or zilch foods as they would probably be pretty nasty all dumped together randomly.
Click for the home of ABC Wednesday. Troy has designed a nifty new badge (shown below) for the round 12 which starts next week. You can get the badge by clicking on badges at the ABC Wednesday Sight.
Very cool word and an interesting different picture! I like a lot the color!

That's a lovely pestle & mortar for grinding spices ! This is the traditional Hindu way of doing it !
ReplyDeleteAh heck! You should have given it a go just for the fun of it. Great idea for our Z week! See you next round, I hope!

I agree with Leslie - should have tried it on chicken or something mild - you never know what next great spice mixture is out there!

I love a bit of zing to my foods.
ReplyDeleteA terrific shot! Were you daring enought to taste your spice mix?
ReplyDeleteWhat we won't do for ABC Wednesday posts...
ReplyDeleteI love your creative take and who knows, you may have put together the latest spice sensation.
so this is not for human consumption eh?
ReplyDeletei do like a little zing on my food, but my heat tolerance is barely above ground :)

As I get older I find I need a little more zing to my food, -- but not pepper. I used to love pepper, now it almost asphyxiates me. (Should have kept that word for next week.)
ReplyDeleteI'm such a nut about spicy food..I'd probably have tried your concoction...and I want your mortar and pestle!
ReplyDeleteI love mixing up spices as well.

ReplyDeletefor myself and my innards, that would be too zingy for me! but it does make for a zesty image!
ReplyDeleteAh I love zesty zingy foods, the mortar and pestle makes a great shot Carver.
ReplyDeleteI think I can identify some of the spices! Great shot to illustrate zesty zing!
ReplyDeleteOh, Carver!
ReplyDeleteYour photo is very beautiful and interesting.

We enjoy zest and zing here too. Our white chili tonight was VERY full of ZING.

I would love to know which spices are combined in your colourful shot. I like a little zing to my food as well. This was a fun read. Thanks, Carver!
ReplyDeleteLove a good mortar and pestle. Used to have a coffee grinder dedicated to nothing but coffee... then my ex used it to quick-mix curry spices, and that was that, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteLoved the shot as well, the way you can see the pods and leaves, not just the final powder. Great! Amy
