ABC Wednesday: E is for Emerald

I looked for shots I've taken where part of the ocean is close to an emerald green.

The part of the ocean closest to the shore is almost a light emerald green.

I took these shots about 12 miles from Emerald Isle, NC.

I think the ocean almost looks effervescent in the next shot.

Every time I look at the ocean, I see something different.

    I feel the same about seeing something different every time I look at the ocean. I love taking photos of it in all seasons and times of day. Lovely photos!

    Glacier fed lakes are also a beautiful emerald green. As a child I saw a photo of Emerald Lake near Banff, British Columbia. I remembered it for years and years but never dreamed that one day I would see it 'for real'. What a thrill!
