ABC Wednesday: H is for History

I thought the shot below outside of the NC Museum of History worked well for H week.

The shot above was of wedding transportation that I spotted and the shot below was taken another time outside of the NC Museum of History. The handsome statues are historical figures.

    The museum is so open and inviting -- no dusty old remnants like so many historical museums I've seen. I'd want to visit if I were there.

    did you say the horse wasn't real? I thought you were talking about the figures in the 2nd image.
    I love history, but really it is no longer taught in many grades. Social Studies which neither lends toward history or geography so both those subjects lack substance in Soc. Studies. sad state of affairs for education...:(

    Thanks to everyone for visiting. The first shot of the mule and carriage were real. They had a wedding party in traditional robes of their native country and they just happened to be outside of the museum. The second shot is of the statues.

    The juxtaposition of the horse and cart against the modern face of the building is particularly effective. Fabulous job!
