ABC Wednesday: K is for kingfisher

I hear kingfishers a lot more often than I see them. But this was a rare case where it landed somewhere and posed for me.

  9. I used to see Kingfishers here, but no more. I hope they have just moved farther up the creek away from people and not left the area completely.

  17. I've been trying forever to get a picture of a Kingfisher, one of my fav birds. We see them in Oregon and here and in places between. I see them sitting still like yours is when we're driving by or when I'm walking down a road. They don't move a whisker until I bring my camera up to my face and then whoosh!!! So I'm a bit envious, but still grateful!
