Our World Tuesday: No holding back the highway

This house sits on a hill with a major highway on one side and an entrance ramp to the highway on the other side. I think it's a charming house and too bad it's located with roaring traffic on either side.

  1. No...there is no holding back the highways. Such a beautiful homeplace. Bet it was quiet and peaceful at the time it was built. It is still a beautiful home. Love the stone wall and that wonderful front porch. genie

  3. I always feel bad for people with lovely homes that end up near busy hwys or even city streets; imagine that the home pre-dated the highway.

  7. A pretty setting, the front yards a bit steep, and perhaps the traffic would be a put off, great shot.

  9. What a lovely house. Such a shame that it's boxed in by noisy roads.

  12. Oh, I love this house. My best friend used to live near a major airport, and she said she got used to the sound of the air traffic, so perhaps the people in this house are used to the sound of the traffic.
    I sure hope so.
