Our World Tuesday: NCMA Park and Rodin Garden

Sunday Bill and I went for a walk at the NC Museum of Art Park and then wandered in the Rodin Garden.

I wish I had managed to get a shot of a guy riding a unicycle on the park path but he was gone before I got the camera focused. He zipped past the people on regular bicycles.

It ended up being a prettier day than I expected.

The original forecast was for rain all weekend but Sunday ended up clearing and was nice.

I enjoy walking around the museum's park as much as going inside.

If it had started raining we had the option of going inside the museum.

Since it didn't rain we walked outside.

We weren't the only people that were enjoying having a good day to be outside.
ourworldDSCN0839
For most of the walk there weren't too many people.

When we walked around the Rodin Garden we were the only people there.

I have photographed this garden many times.

I like to get reflections in the pool.

I love lotus flowers.

Art and nature make a good mix.

I love the sculpture below and always photograph it from both sides.

I can't remember who did the piece below. It kind of looks like an enormous tree stump to me.

Last, one more shot from the Rodin Garden.

  1. The multiple arcs in the grass intrigued me. They bring such an open and spacious quality to park. The unicycle would have completed the circle nicely. The stark silvery tree also intrigues. :)
