Our World Tuesday: Sunday walk at Lake Lynn

I usually walk at Shelley Lake because it's less than a mile from my house but this Sunday we walked at Lake Lynn.

Lake Lynn is only four miles from my house so it's also close by.

The grey goose above was pretty rambunctious but the ones below were calmer.

I like the way the ducks swam past the upside down tree in the water or rather the tree's reflection was upside down.

I think the shadows below are interesting.

The Canadian Geese were hanging out with the mallards.

It was a beautiful day and there were a lot of people taking advantage of it to walk, jog and cycle.

The mallard below was running.

The duck below was keeping its eye on the mallard.

At Lake Lynn there are long bridges/boardwalks.

I spotted four swans on the lake.

I didn't get any good group shots of the swan pairs.

I tried to catch the geese in flight but didn't get a shot until they were landing below.

Before long the trees will be changing colors.

A few trees are starting to change but only isolated leaves have fall colors so far.

  3. That is an awesome wing stretch for the goose … wonder if it is drying its feathers after a swim. What a potpourri of birds at this lake! The path is sure to be golden before too long now that autumn is just around the corner.
