SkyWatch Friday: Early October Skies

The past few days have been chilly and rainy but we had some pretty October skies prior to the rain.

The beginning of October was unseasonably warm and I'm glad that it's cooling down again.

I hope the rain won't last much longer.

We've had such a wet summer that I wouldn't mind more pretty days like we had at the beginning of October.

I love golden sunsets.

As I've said many time I also love cotton ball clouds.

It was nice to have some days with blue skies.

This is one of my favorite times of the year.

I like all changing seasons.

I wouldn't want to live somewhere that didn't have four distinct seasons.

Part of what I like is change.

Each season has its own distinct beauty.

I'm looking forward to more of the trees changing colors at the lake.

This sunset was a good one to photograph.

Every few minutes the sky changed.

There was a nice mix of colors in the clouds.

The dark clouds added a contrasting element.

At the end of the sunset the clouds started to turn pink.

Very shortly after the last shot the sky became dark.
