SkyWatch Friday: First 6 Days of November

I'm going to start with sky shots I took on November 6 and move backwards, ending with the November 1 sky.

Sometimes it looks like the sky is painted.

It amazes me how varied the clouds can be.

I think the clouds below look like angel's hair.

Below is one of those clouds that look like fairies dancing to me.

The tree below that is beginning to get red leaves is always the last to change colors in my neighborhood.

This is going to be one of my extra long sky posts.

I had too many shots to choose from.

I shot a lot of clouds and also a lot of colorful leaves against the sky.

The next two shots are ones I took from the parking lot to the office for a meeting.

Now that the hardwoods are changing colors the fall colors are speeding up.

I think the shot above looks like a river running through white sand.

Below are more of the dancing clouds I like.

I've caught a couple of November sunsets.

I like the satin sheen that sometimes happens at sunset.

Below the afternoon light struck the pine trees.

I think the sky looks dreamy in the next shot.

The next shot also has a dreamy look to me.

Below is another angel hair sky.

My oak trees are about half way through changing colors.

I like the mix of evergreens and deciduous trees against the sky.

I always enjoy walking at Shelley Lake in the fall.

Nice to have a few sunny days.

It has become fairly rare to have a solid blue sky.

I love to see pink clouds at sunset.

The late afternoon light this time of year is particularly lovely to me.

There are so many different shades of blue in the sky depending on the time of the day.

It was raining when I took the last shot but the trees brightened up the sky.
