SkyWatch Friday: Morning to Sunset

The skies I'm choosing this week were all taken on March 2, 2014.

I enjoyed having a beautiful Sunday before the weather turned very cold the next day.

March began with spring like days but by Monday night the weather turned bitter cold.

Monday we had a small amount of sleet and snow.

Tuesday I took pictures of long icicles, totally different scenes than on this perfect spring Sunday. Although I love winter scenes too.

I have seen in the forecast that the upcoming weekend will be much warmer again.

I'm not in a hurry for summer but I am ready for some moderate weather for a while.

I took a zillion shots of the sun going down because every minute there was something different.

I love trees and I love sunsets but sometimes I look forward to being places where I can photograph the sky without all the obstructions.

The coast and the mountain overlooks are where I usually get big sky and sunsets without the view being blocked.

That said, I still like to watch the sunset through the trees from my bedroom window.

Especially when it puts on a show like it did on the early evening I shot here.

The clouds were very dynamic.

And then the show ended turning into a dark sky.

  8. The tree branches provide a great perspective and focal point to the beautiful sky. And I like to see what you see from your window.

When I was still working (back in Oregon) the one nice day in a winter week never came on weekends ... they always came on Mondays (or so I seem to remember). You were lucky.
