A week ago Sunday

This weekend has been rainy which I haven't minded.

 Bill took me out for a delicious mother's day brunch and after I got home I thought I'd take a look at last weekend's photos for a post.

 The great blue heron kept going in and out of my view by ducking into the flowers.

 I haven't seen as many heron as usual this year so was glad to spot one.

 The geese were grazing at the bottom of the dam.

    That was a good walk, such bright and sunny pictures -- YAY spring! I love to watch GBherons! Bill took me out to brunch this morning too.

    Glad you had a nice brunch for Mother’s Day! It is lovely not having to cook sometimes. The little turtle in the last picture has found the perfect environment to camouflage.

    The water looks so enticing! Love your shots by your lake. Always a joy to see a heron. And the turtle is fun as well.

    I can see how you might have missed that turtle - the water is pretty murky! Great shots - they have convinced me to get out for a walk today.
