When I lived in New York, I heard pigeons referred to as "rats with wings" - they are that prolific up there! But this one is too pretty for such a dreadful nickname. Nice shot, well captured!
Thanks so much to everyone for visiting. To answer a few questions, I cropped the shot which was how I made it look like I was on the same level as the bird. I took the picture in early June at Atlantic Beach, NC. I had to laugh at some of the comments about pigeons. They are indeed notorious for bombing the unsuspecting as they fly overhead.
