Hi Carver! This is a beautiful shot! I mentioned your name on my blog in my Sky Watch Friday post. I couldn't remember dogspot but Louise told me what it was.
I love the way the sunlight gives it an ethereal quality.
Glad to hear the check-up went okay. AS you say, bad news comes quickly! And I'm sure you are fine anyway. But I always worried each year Husband had to go back for his annual check-up.
I can't place this house... It's not on Hillsboro St or Blue Ridge Rd (at least I'm pretty sure it isn't) that only leaves Trinity Rd since there's not really a road bordering the west side of the fairgrounds...
Thank you so much for your comments. I read and appreciate any and all comments. If I delete a comment it is only because I'm trying to deal with a lot of spam. If I delete a comment which isn't spam, it's an accident so please accept my apology.
NOTE - I have recently had issues where some comments don't show up in my blog but I am receiving all of them through email. The blooger hiccup seems to be fixed but I'm going to leave this note up so I don't jinx it.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. Talk about having a front row seat for the fair :).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful light in this picture - a sort of pale glow.
ReplyDeleteSnow, but at least, beautiful light. Snow is going to melt with that sunray.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition, Carver, as usual.
A lovely view with the trees in front....

Looks so "southern gentry" to me...or my idea of what that might be. ;-)
ReplyDeleteA beauty. The trees look like fine lace.
ReplyDeleteIt does have an etheral feel with the ghostly light.
ReplyDeletelove the trees. I'm sure this house was a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the same photo in summer!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing these photos on NC, places we actually recognize! Nice shot of a very southern looking home place.
ReplyDeleteMonochrome Monday. We thought about converting our fire station image to black and white but that fire truck red is hard to give up.
Lovely shot. Some wintersunshine, very nice.
ReplyDeleteOh so nice ...
ReplyDeleteThose trees are what dreams are made of! What fun to be sitting on the porch for activities. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteNice picture but a little bit to 'grey'. I would advise you to give more 'contrast' in this photo, I think it will be much better.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful house and photo. It looks great in B&W.

ReplyDeleteOr is there?
Cool shot in any case!
