  1. Hi Carver! This is a beautiful shot! I mentioned your name on my blog in my Sky Watch Friday post. I couldn't remember dogspot but Louise told me what it was.

  3. Beautiful light in this picture - a sort of pale glow.

  4. Snow, but at least, beautiful light. Snow is going to melt with that sunray.
    Great composition, Carver, as usual.

  6. I love the way the sunlight gives it an ethereal quality.

Glad to hear the check-up went okay. AS you say, bad news comes quickly! And I'm sure you are fine anyway. But I always worried each year Husband had to go back for his annual check-up.

  7. Looks so "southern gentry" to me...or my idea of what that might be. ;-)

  12. Love seeing these photos on NC, places we actually recognize! Nice shot of a very southern looking home place.

Monochrome Monday. We thought about converting our fire station image to black and white but that fire truck red is hard to give up.

  14. Those trees are what dreams are made of! What fun to be sitting on the porch for activities. Nice shot!

  15. Nice picture but a little bit to 'grey'. I would advise you to give more 'contrast' in this photo, I think it will be much better.

  17. I can't place this house... It's not on Hillsboro St or Blue Ridge Rd (at least I'm pretty sure it isn't) that only leaves Trinity Rd since there's not really a road bordering the west side of the fairgrounds...

    Or is there?

    Cool shot in any case!
