ABC Wednesday: F is for Foggy Fall Frosty Frozen

Focusing on foggy, fall, frosty and frozen images. The formidable heat of August has me falling into a sweaty heap when I'm outside. Nice to remember that fall is coming soon, followed by winter.
tree
I love foggy days as long as I don't have to drive far from home. I particularly love fall leaves both on the trees and after they have fallen to form a carpet on the ground.
leaves
Sugar frosted leaves are one of the pleasures of fall and winter.

I also like going on a brisk walk in frigid weather. The last shot is from last winter when the lake was frozen and the seagull flew freely above it.

For anyone who hasn't figured it out yet, I am not a summer person at this point in my life. I do not care for the heat and humidity and am glad that I'll be rescued by fall. For other takes on the letter F, please visit the home of ABC Wednesday.

  5. Each season has its fine points. I too love fall, but we don't have the seasons like you do.
I really like the focus of your first (foto) with the tree standing out against the foggy background.

  6. Beautiful Fall Fotos.
My favorite season is spring. Summer is SO exhausting. But I like autumn also, so crisp and delicious.

  9. Your photos are beautiful and your "f's" very refreshing. Fall will come hopefully sooner rather than later - today is supposed to be 108 degrees, and needless to say, I'm holed up!

  10. Fabulous fall foliage featured here my friend.

I'm not much of a summer lover either.

  17. That is so not nice of you. I know the weather hasn't been too great today (at least in the Netherlands), but giving us frosty leaves? That's a bit much in August! :)

  18. You convinced me that you're a fall person ( or even a fanatic about cooler weather or frigid weather). I must admit to lamenting the cooler nights and the thought of fall around the corner.

  19. I love fall too. It's my favorite and I often wonder why folks rake all those pretty leaves off their lawns. They're so pretty resting there.

  20. You almost convinced me that frosty, foggy, fall is a good thing - but not quite! :) I just live for summer. Good post - beautiful photos!

  25. You have described my country to a T. In one of the cities, they had 2 days of sun shine.

It was rain rain rain today, and fog fog fog.

    I don't like it.

  26. Same here, never seen what all the fuss about summer was. I have always loved autumn mists and dappled light of woods. It's all the mood of fruitful reflection I like that you have caught in your photos. I'm new in town and I post from various blogs so last week my E was a 50-word story called The Prince of Darkness is a gentleman. This week my F is a poem called The final seaside trip. I hope you have a good week!
