Whenever I ride in a car going through an underground tunnel, I am reminded of thrillers involving high speed chases in tunnels.
I am glad we didn't undergo a high speed chase while underneath the road in this tunnel.
Going under the mountains to visit a mine is unusual for me.
I enjoyed it but was relieved we didn't use up all the oxygen available in the dank air.

Wonderful photos! I liked the light at the end of the tunnel:)
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos of the tunnel. It reminds me of that too.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots, but I think I might be a bit claustrophobic in that mine!
ReplyDeleteTerrific captures for the U Day! And I, too, like the light at the end of the tunnel!! Hope your week is going well, Carver!

You must live in a mountainous area! We have only tunnels under highways or rivers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for these beautiful images.
Reminds me of the Lincoln Tunnel in NYC - at least the lighting. It used to make me very nervous as a kid; tghought the thing would collapse and we'd drown.

I always feel claustrophobic in tunnels. Glad when I can see the light at the end. Terrific photos. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYes, the most exciting chases seem to be in tunnels...
ReplyDeleteLove the golden color in your photos.
I would find it a little scary. Love your photos though!
ReplyDeleteNot so fond of tunnels or undergrounds either. Your photos are outstanding!
ReplyDeleteUnderground is a serious U word, alright, Carver! I've driven through lots of tunnels, spending most of my life in mountainous British Columbia, but I'm always happy to be out of them.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!

I think I would be very anxious and nervous inside of one of those tunnels.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fabulous, like so much the motion there! And also the lights.
Great set of pictures!

As a little girl I was captivated by tunnels. Somewhere back in my memory is a very long tunnel somewhere in the Great Lakes.
ReplyDeleteVery easy to cross mountains thus.
ReplyDeleteGREAT captures underground. Some tunnels are so long that I'm a bit, umm, nervous until I see the light of day. You've captured the air below too--isn't it always so cool?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! And I really enjoyed this post. As a girl we would travel from Ohio to New YOrk and go through many mountain tunnels. None to mines!
ReplyDeleteI do not like being underground at all! (mind you, I don't like bridges either)

I am not a big tunnel fan myself. Your shots are dang cool though :)!
ReplyDeleteme, too but I imagine more of slow car chase rather than fast
ReplyDeletehope your day is sweet.
Great photos. I too like the light at the end of the tunnel. I think this is something we all want to see.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures from the dark side under :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images!
ReplyDelete"U" are invited to see the "U" at my page. Have a great evening.
Great tunnel photos. Unfortunately whenever I go under freeway bridges, (which is the nearest thing to tunnels we have down here), I always think of earthquakes!
