I'm glad we have had enough rain because it keeps everything fresh.
I would rather have too much rain than too little.
I guess I should qualify that last sentence. I don't want to have any hurricanes blow through. Even strong thunderstorms can be dangerous.
The bell tower above is on the campus at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and it was struck by lightening several years ago and had to be rebuilt.
I guess it's all a matter of balance. Anything in excess can be a problem.
I guess drought conditions bother me because I hate to see the natural world dry up. Especially in places that aren't well adapted to drought like where I live.
We've had more than enough rain for several years now and I am beginning to relish a little blue in the sky. The greens being so fresh and clean help make up for the absence of color in the sky. Click for the home of skywatch Friday.

I also the fresh feeling when it's raining, your pictures are wonderful!Love that tower!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue. I don't mind rain, but I'm a wimp about thunderstorms...you might have been able to hear me screech yesterday, when one thunderclap was a little too close for my comfort zone.
